Role Description
You will be in charge of productivity and predictability of all project portfolios. You will be leading, coaching, mentoring and motivating, Product and Tech Leaders on coordinating, planning and implementing Tech, Product, Technology and Data projects. As well manage cross area dependent deliverables and initiatives, including estimating, planning facilitation, governance and thorough tracking. Your duties include setting deadlines with delivery owners and managing programs aiming for a smooth execution, reporting and governance. Supporting the product managers in managing communications with stakeholders, managing customer's expectations for deliverables, trade-offs, and implementing an effective project governance system. This role educates and enables teams to execute in high coordination and synchronization, while streamlining their pipeline of work to deliver software with high productivity, security and quality. You will work with Business, Product Managers, Operations, Designers, Technologists and Engineers to define plans, critical paths, dependencies, capacity needs, budget requirements, governance, risk management and tracking to deliver the best technical solutions that meet deadlines at the enterprise level at scale.
This is a role for an active and well-experienced Agile PMO with solid Scrum Master attitudes, who will work with stakeholders on program objectives and KPI management. The Agile Project Manager plays a key role in the success of the Product & Technology department by leading the coordination and delivery of programs, creating the tools and solutions for Chapters and Tribes to build and deliver with fruition. You will engage with teams, and create a state of the art program management organization that will create, launch and improve technology products, productivity gain, increase quality and security, which will help Konfío to stabilize, mature, evolve and become an enterprise graded project portfolio.
Product, Technology and Data Departments
The Product, Technology and Data Departments are made of software development and operations activities organized as Tribes and Chapters, which contain Product, Cybersecurity, Architecture, Operations, Infrastructure and Engineering responsibilities. This role will report to the VP of Technology and will work with business Stakeholders, Tribe and Chapter leaders on establishing initiatives, programs that cross-cut Chapter and Tribe's deliverables and dependencies. A successful Agile Project Manager will be the person who can have good connections, communication and relationships with key stakeholders and leaders in Konfío, articulating and delivering plans that stick to its commitments, enabling outstanding execution and delivery, while enabling visual and contextual governance of tracking, reporting and risk. Also experience with the Mexican market, regulatory bodies and culture is a must for this role.
You have:
- 7+ years related experience, with progressive responsibility in Agile Program Project Management
- PMI and Agile certifications
- Proven track record as a successful and acting Agile Project Manager in the last 5 years
- Experience leading teams through long and complex technology migration and modernization programs, as well bank regulations, and very short duration initiatives as well
- Experience on improving productivity, while enabling quality assurance and security, as well as managing these KPIs
- Experience managing staff allocation and tracking budgets for multiple programs and projects
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strategic mindset with close attention to short-term and tactical deliverables
- Experience on owning and facilitating senior leadership committees
- Great written and verbal communication skills (English & Spanish)
- Good Interpersonal skills
- Knows how to motivate teams through practical challenges
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills complemented by adept organizational, technological, and procedural problem-solving capabilities drive customer value
- Experience with outsource and consulting engagements, and make them feel part of
our own team. - Has financial acumen on budgetary planning and cost tracking
- Computer science, software architecture and team leadership experiences
- Background experience in building and launching Banking or Fintech products to market, coupled with financial acumen on budgetary planning and cost tracking
- Ability to communicate (written & verbal) in English and Spanish

You'll do:
- Develop capacity, budget plans and operations for the technology department
- Report detailed status updates to leadership and executive team
- Apply change, risk, and resource management principles when needed
- Work with leadership on setting strategic goals and objectives for projects
- Resolve problems between program teams and other internal stakeholders
- Coordinate with product managers, tech leaders and other stakeholders the elaboration and detailing of implementation plans. This includes deadlines, milestones, processes, and risk mitigation protocols, monitoring performance and collaborating with teams to determine ways to improve
- Acting as the bridge between strategy and execution, a agile project manager is responsible for overseeing the successful planning and execution of programs (and associated projects) that positively impact innovation, feature product development, and revenue goals
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate deals, manage the contracts and financial aspects
- Financial controls and action plans for cost optimizations
- Lead large group discussions to answer questions and remedy complaints
- Create and nurture effective communication within the organization
- Build a strong team through open communication and by collaborating on
decision-making responsibilities - Initiate and set goals for programs based on the organization’s strategic objectives
- Plan programs from start to finish, including identifying processes, deadlines and
Milestones - Plan program work-breakdown and strategies for the most efficient flows and delivery of value with the Areas and Tribes
- Plan the capacity and competencies required for recruitment needs, anticipating and
estimating the programs with leaders and other stakeholders. - Work with leaders for continued improvements on flows, relations, dependencies with
other Tribes, gain prioritization through value-added arguments and data, and escalate blockers as they appear - Work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to build a state of the union,
the same with Architects and Design teams. - Understand the pain points being experienced by the team, and determine the best course of action.
- Provide guidance through Konfío values when there is conflict, threat, or attrition.
- Provider of context when there are changes and the voice of reason when there is
debate at the committees - Challenge the status-quo, seeking customer value at all times, by delivering innovative, secured and quality software solutions.
- Key tool for Agile Project Management is Notion/Notion.ai, currently Jira but moving away from it.
