The opportunity

We are looking for a Data Engineering Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in building and optimizing our data infrastructure. As the Data Engineering Manager you will lead the data engineering team while designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient, scalable data pipelines that facilitate the collection, transformation, and delivery of data for analysis and organizational use.

You will work closely with data scientists, data analysts, and other teams to ensure that data is reliable, accessible, and supports informed decision-making across the organization.

  • Define the architecture of complex data solutions.
  • Design and manage efficient databases to store data.
  • Collect, transform and clean data, as well as design and maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines.
  • Optimize the performance and scalability of data solutions.
  • Implement and maintain data quality and monitoring solutions.
  • Ensure data meets security and privacy standards.
  • Collaborate with other teams to understand data needs and ensure timely data availability.

What experience will help you in this role?

  • +5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar roles (exclusive)
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python) for data processing (exclusive).
  • Knowledge of relational databases, such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, as well as NoSQL databases (exclusive)
  • Experience in designing and implementing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses from scratch
  • Experience in building ETL processes for extracting, transforming and loading data from various sources to storage systems (exclusive)
  • Knowledge of the Big Data ecosystem, including technologies such as Spark to process large volumes of data (desirable)
  • Knowledge of orchestration tools, such as Apache Airflow and Kubernetes to schedule and manage data processing jobs (exclusive)
  • Knowledge of real-time data transmission technologies
