What to expect from the role?

Bureau is looking for a Head of Finance to provide detailed finance, reporting and accounting support for its regulated entities based in the USA, India and Singapore reporting to the CEO & Founder. This role will provide effective financial leadership to grow value responsibly, in a profitable and sustainable manner. Help in fostering ethical and responsible decision making and robust management and corporate governance practices and is also responsible for reporting accurate financial information in compliance with applicable accounting standards and more generally for Bureau’s financial condition. It needs someone with a positive attitude and one who is motivated to learn and grow within the organisation, with a proven ability to thrive in a fast paced multi-task oriented environment. This position will play a crucial role in meeting our regulatory, financial and tax reporting obligations in all geographies. In this role one will work and collaborate closely with many stakeholders across the organisation, including regulatory compliance, sales, tech and operations

How will your day look at Bureau?

  • Financial Statements: Prepare and review standalone and consolidated monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in compliance with IGAAP and US GAAP.

  • Month-End Closer: Oversee month-end book closure for group companies, ensuring accurate reconciliations are maintained.

  • Payroll Oversight: Manage monthly payroll and related compliance.

  • Compliance Reviews: Conduct monthly reviews of GST, Income Tax, PF, and PT, including intercompany transactions like Transfer Pricing (TP) and royalty payments.

  • Secretarial Filings: Review secretarial filings for both India and Singapore entities.

  • Audit and Due Diligence: Provide audit support for group companies and assist with due diligence as required.

  • Treasury Management: Oversee treasury functions and manage working capital.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams on invoicing, payroll, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR).

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Conduct financial planning and monthly variance analysis.

  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement best practices in monthly invoicing, AP, AR, and reimbursements.

  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including the Board and investors, ensuring effective communication and alignment.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and train the finance team, fostering growth and development.

  • ARR Reporting: Accurately track and report on Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), ensuring precision and transparency in financial metrics.

  • Monitoring and overseeing the performance of outsourced services by outsourced service providers relating to the finance function.

What does it take to be in this role?

  • CA/MBA with 8 years post qualification experience in various fields of Finance.

  • 8+ experience working in a regulated entity/environment with minimum 2-3 years of experience in a startup and managing team

  • ARR Expertise: Proven track record in preparing and maintaining consol FS.

  • Experience in and understanding of payments, e-money or wallet products/services, banking functions, merchant processing.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of business functions, with an emphasis on senior management and a track record of performing in a management role. Project management experience is desirable but not essential.

  • Track record of building strong relationships with boards, senior management and regulators.

  • Capacity to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards and effective time management.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment within a high growth business.

  • Expert knowledge and experience with IFRS, GAAP.

  • Excellent oral and written communication.

  • Knowledge of accounting month-end book close process.
