Key Responsibilities
- Design Strategy
- Define and own the design vision and strategy for our payment products.
- Establish UX/UI design best practices that balance business goals, user needs, and compliance requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers and UX researchers.
- User-Centered Design Execution
- Drive end-to-end product design from discovery, journey mapping, and prototyping to detailed UI specifications.
- Conduct and apply user research, usability testing, and data-driven insights to improve product flows and reduce friction.
- Create design systems and patterns for consistency across channels (app, web).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product managers and engineers to define product requirements and technical feasibility.
- Work closely with risk, compliance, and legal teams to ensure designs adhere to regulatory standards (e.g., BSP, AML, KYC).
- Collaborate with marketing and CX to ensure brand-consistent experiences.
- Innovation & Market Trends
- Stay ahead of payment UX trends in PH and SEA and globally (e.g., tap-to-pay, open finance, e-wallet interoperability).
- Explore opportunities to integrate emerging technologies such as QR Ph, NFC, merchants, and blockchain into the payment journey.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with at least 1 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record designing scalable payment systems, e-wallets, or financial services platforms.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX strategy, UI execution, and impact on business metrics.
- Deep understanding of the Philippine digital payment landscape and regulatory framework.
- Experience working in agile product development environments.
- Proficiency in tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Background in payments or fintech.
- Experience in designing for mass-market, mobile-first audiences in emerging markets.
