Job description:
The AML Reporting Officer ensures that enza fully complies with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) regulations. The role involves monitoring transactions, identifying suspicious activities, filing reports with relevant authorities and maintaining compliance with local and international regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities:
– Oversee and implement the company’s AML/CTF compliance framework in line with applicable regulations and
internal policies.
– Conduct ongoing monitoring of customer transactions to detect unusual or suspicious activity.
– Prepare, review, and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the
Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) or Central Bank as required.
– Maintain up-to-date records of AML/CTF reports, investigations, and correspondence.
– Ensure customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) procedures are properly applied and
documented.
– Provide AML/CTF guidance and training to staff to promote compliance awareness across the organization.
– Liaise with regulators, law enforcement, and internal departments on AML-related inquiries.
– Conduct periodic risk assessments and update the AML policy to reflect emerging threats or regulatory changes.
– Support audits, inspections, and internal reviews related to AML/CTF compliance.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
– Minimum 3–5 years of experience in AML/CTF compliance within the financial services or fintech sector.
– Strong knowledge of AML laws, FATF recommendations, and Central Bank reporting obligations.
– Certification such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
– Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
– Strong communication and reporting skills in English.
– High integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
