Position

Eseye is looking for a motivated and hands-on Junior Operations Engineer to join our dynamic IT Operations team.

This brand-new, entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience across real-world infrastructure and cloud technologies, working with Linux systems, AWS, and bespoke applications that support global IoT connectivity. Whether you're a recent graduate or looking to grow your career in technology, we’ll provide the training, tools, and support to help you succeed. Requirements

  • Degree level education in Maths, Computer Science or similar.
  • Pragmatic problem solver with excellent troubleshooting skill.
  • Ability to debug applications at code and network levels.
  • Familiar with Linux OS – previous experience would be an advantage.
  • Able to communicate clearly with end users, Dev team, and C-level.
  • Knowledge of basic networking technologies.
  • Knowledge of virtualisation technologies.
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting infrastructure within AWS preferred.
  • Experience in data transfers in a distributed data centre environment preferred.
  • Ability to create clear documentation – must be able to clearly show process/data flow.
  • Awareness of incident management (basic: communicate, record, resolve).
  • Familiar with MySQL & Apache.
  • Familiar with monitoring systems.

Advantageous

  • Knowledge of mobile network technologies and concepts.
  • Analysis of signalling traffic (SS7 and Diameter).
  • Packet capture analysis with Wireshark or similar tools.
  • Awareness of high availability concepts.
  • Knowledge of automation (Ansible/Terraform).
  • Knowledge of back-up and restore processes.
  • Understanding of VoIP.
