Khazna was founded in 2019 with a mission to improve the financial well-being of the underbanked, who have little access to formal financial services by providing access to convenient, effective and secure smartphone-based financial services. Khazna has received the Central Bank of Egypt’s first prepaid card license and aims to become the go-to specialized bank for underbanked mid-to-low-income consumers across the Middle East. In the next phase of its journey, Khazna is looking to continue scaling up its operations in Egypt and to launch its operations in Saudi Arabia.

We are looking for an experienced Testing Engineer who will be responsible of ensuring the delivery of high-quality software by conducting thorough manual testing and contributing to the overall QA process. This position emphasizes hands-on manual testing while offering opportunities to support automation initiatives, enabling the team to improve testing efficiency and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on executing detailed test plans, ensuring software meets functional and performance requirements.
  • Analyze functional requirements and create test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage of all scenarios.
  • Execute manual test plans across web, mobile, and API platforms to validate functionality and usability.
  • Log and track defects with clear documentation and follow up on resolutions with developers.
  • Perform regression, integration, and smoke testing to ensure a stable product release.
  • Assist in test planning and strategy discussions with QA leads and product owners.
  • Perform non-functional testing over the product (performance, reliability, stress, and load testing)
  • Focus on manual testing activities, including validating features, detecting bugs, and confirming fixes, while building a foundation for learning and contributing to automation testing frameworks. Ideal candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, eagerness to grow their skill set, and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality in software applications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on manual testing.
  • Familiarity with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, JIRA) and defect tracking systems.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or equivalent.
  • Detail-oriented approach with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Clear and concise communication skills to collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders.
  • Preferable to have experience in automation testing by writing or executing scripts using tools like Selenium, Postman, or similar.
  • Stay informed about new testing tools and trends, contributing ideas to improve existing processes.
