This is a high-impact leadership role for an entrepreneurial business leader to drive profitable growth across India’s emerging markets. The regional Business Head will be responsible for building, scaling, and leading a high-performing branch cluster (5-6 branches) within a defined region. With a sharp focus on customer centricity, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance, this role is central to expanding our reach in non-metro cities and economic hubs.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & P&L Ownership
Deliver the business AOP , P&L for the region
Drive rapid and sustainable growth across secured lending products
Maximize revenue through cross-sell, renewals, top-ups, and balance transfers
Use competitive intelligence and local market insights to shape business strategy
Distribution & Network Expansion
Scale a robust network of 4 to 6 full-service branches in the assigned region
Identify branch locations, manage lease closures, and oversee setup
Drive direct sourcing via customer events, exhibitions, loan melas, MSME conclaves, roadshows and local merchant connects
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Lead a span of 3 to 6 Branch Heads, 25+ Branch Heads, and 25+ full time employees.
Recruit, coach, and build a high-performance team of Branch heads & Customer acquisition manager.
Foster a culture of ownership, agility, compliance, and customer-first execution.
Risk, Compliance & Operational Excellence
Ensure regulatory adherence, internal audit readiness, and governance excellence
Oversee cost control, TATs, sourcing quality, recoveries, and risk containment
Ensure compliance with municipal laws, property regulations, collateral management, litigation and repossession protocols
Market Intelligence & Strategic Partnerships
Build strong networks with local bodies, legal institutions, and fraud prevention agencies
Leverage local intelligence to identify new business triggers and mitigate risks
Stay ahead of trends in industries, customer behaviours, and competitor movements
Qualification & Experience
Educational Background
Post graduation/ MBA
Preferably from Tier 1 or Tier 2 institutions
Experience & Functional Expertise
10–14 years of progressive leadership experience in banks or NBFCs
Proven P&L ownership and multi-location team leadership experience
Deep expertise in secured lending products: LAP, Home Loans, Business Loans, Working Capital Finance within MSME ecosystem.
Strong track record in both sales and collections within MSME, B2B, and B2C segments
Key Skills & Competencies
Market & Domain Knowledge
Strong understanding of regional markets, customer segments, and business ecosystems
Familiarity with compliance, audit, risk frameworks, and regulatory landscape
Ability to engage with local bodies, legal entities, fraud control, and governance infrastructure

Demonstrated success in building large-scale distribution networks in emerging markets
Experience in hiring, developing, and managing high performing, geographically spread teams
