Backed by top-tier investors, our global team operates across the US, APAC, EU, and LATAM.
About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy and delivery for one of Hamsa's flagship cross-border payments and stablecoin infrastructure initiatives in Mexico. This is a hybrid product and project management role: you will define and specify the product, including how APIs integrate with banking and other third-party financial services, while also owning the end-to-end delivery process, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving the project through every development milestone. This role is based in Mexico and will act as the on-the-ground product owner for the initiative, with the opportunity to grow into broader operational responsibility for the region over time.

Key Responsibilities
- Product specification: define and document detailed product requirements, including how APIs integrate with banking systems and other third-party financial service providers, translating business and regulatory needs into clear technical specifications for engineering;
- Delivery ownership: manage the end-to-end development lifecycle — from requirements gathering through delivery, tracking progress against the roadmap and following up on every development step to ensure milestones are met;
- Stakeholder management: serve as the primary point of contact between engineering, business, and client-side stakeholders, proactively managing expectations, priorities, and timelines across all parties;
- Cross-functional coordination: align engineering, compliance, legal, and business teams around a shared roadmap, resolving conflicts and unblocking dependencies as they arise;
- Backlog and execution: own the product backlog, write clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives);
- Risk management: identify risks and bottlenecks early, and propose and drive contingency plans to keep the project on track;
- Regional ownership: act as Hamsa's product and delivery lead in Mexico, building the foundation to take on broader regional operational responsibility as the project scales.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, project management, or a hybrid of both, ideally within fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure;
- Proven experience specifying and delivering products involving integrations, particularly with banks or other financial service providers;
- Demonstrated ability to own a project end-to-end, from requirements through delivery, including tracking progress against milestones and managing stakeholder expectations;
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar);
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate technical, business, and regulatory stakeholders simultaneously;
- Fluent in Spanish and English, written and spoken.
- Comfortable reading and specifying API documentation (REST/webhooks), authentication flows, and data schemas well enough to write clear requirements for engineers;
- Working understanding of banking integration patterns, core banking APIs, payment rails, and settlement flows;
- Proficiency with product and project management tooling (Jira, Notion, Figma, or similar).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Understanding of the Mexican financial regulatory framework (e.g., CNBV, Banxico, Fintech Law / LRITF);
- Experience with cross-border payments, remittances, or banking treasury operations;
- Exposure to stable coins, blockchain infrastructure, or digital assets;
- Prior experience working directly with financial institutions or large enterprise clients in Mexico.
