People Operations Intern

ROLE PURPOSE
We are looking for a highly motivated, driven, and meticulously detail-oriented People Operations Graduate to join our dynamic People Team on a 6-month fixed-term contract basis.
This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a recent university graduate with a Bachelors or Honours degree in Organisational Psychology or Human Resource Management who is eager to launch their career and gain comprehensive, hands-on experience within a fast-paced HR department in a FinTech environment.
As the People Operations Graduate, you will be instrumental in providing critical administrative support across the entire employee lifecycle. Your responsibilities will span from the moment a candidate is onboarded through to their offboarding, touching every key phase in between.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Talent Acquisition team with job postings, CV screening, candidate communication, background checks and interview coordination when required.
- Support with employee onboarding activities, including new employee documentation, induction coordination, and employee folder management.
- Maintain digital employee files and HRIS data integrity, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Facilitate the employee offboarding process.
- Assist with monthly payroll preparation and benefits administration.
- Act as a first point of contact for general employee inquiries (e.g. confirmation of employment letters and general policy questions).
- Assist with ad-hoc projects, such as researching possibilities for process automation or how AI can be utilised to drive efficiencies.
- Provide support with ad hoc reporting, analytics & insights when required.
- Help the team with organising internal events, workshops, or other culture related initiatives.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects, such as updating policies and employee handbooks, drafting internal newsletters, and more.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Recent Bachelors or Honours degree graduate in Organisational Psychology, or Human Resource Management.
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and execute on multiple tasks without compromising on quality.
- A high level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information responsibly.
- Strong attention to detail and care for high quality work output (spotting typos, formatting inconsistencies, and numerical errors that others might overlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
