Lula is on the lookout for a Growth Analytics & Insights Manager to join the team and spearhead data-led decision-making across our customer acquisition and lifecycle funnels.
In this role, you’ll focus on marketing analytics, performance measurement, and funnel analysis, providing the commercial insights needed to optimise acquisition, uplift customer quality, and drive growth outcomes across the business.
Collaborating closely with Growth Marketing, CRM, Product, Credit, and BI teams, you will translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that enhance conversion performance and marketing effectiveness.

Key responsibilities:
1. Marketing & Funnel Analytics
- Analyse performance across paid, organic, referral, CRM, and partnership channels to identify optimisation opportunities.
- Support the Growth Marketing team with performance reporting and insight generation across acquisition campaigns and channels.
- Monitor and report on key acquisition and funnel metrics including conversion rates, CAC, ROAS, approval rates, customer quality, and LTV.
- Analyse the end-to-end customer journey to identify friction points and drop-off opportunities across marketing and application funnels.
- Build recurring reports and dashboards to improve visibility into marketing and growth performance.
- Support campaign performance reviews and provide analytical recommendations to improve acquisition outcomes.
2. Attribution & Measurement
- Assist in developing and maintaining attribution and measurement frameworks across marketing channels.
- Ensure accurate campaign tracking and data quality across marketing platforms and reporting tools.
- Support experimentation and A/B testing analysis across acquisition and lifecycle initiatives.
- Partner with BI and Product teams to improve data accessibility and reporting consistency.
3. Customer & Commercial Insights
- Analyse customer behaviour and performance trends to support growth and retention initiatives.
- Develop customer segments and cohort analyses to support targeting and lifecycle marketing efforts.
- Support analysis of brand and upper-funnel activity to understand its impact on traffic quality, conversion performance, and customer acquisition outcomes.
- Assist with customer and market insight initiatives to better understand SME customer behaviour, decision drivers, and barriers to application.
- Contribute to campaign effectiveness, brand perception, and customer insight reporting to support marketing and growth strategy.
- Provide insight into customer quality, approval trends, and channel performance to support smarter acquisition decisions.
- Translate data into clear and actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
4. CRM & Lifecycle Analytics
- Support CRM and lifecycle performance analysis across onboarding, engagement, retention, and repeat borrowing journeys.
- Analyse campaign and customer engagement performance across email, SMS, and owned channels.
- Assist with measuring the effectiveness of lifecycle campaigns and customer communication strategies.
5. Collaboration & Capability Building
- Contribute to building a strong data-driven culture within the Marketing & Growth team.
- Work collaboratively across Marketing, Product, Credit, BI, and Operations teams.
- Help improve reporting frameworks, analytics processes, and performance visibility across the growth function.
- Share insights and best practices that support continuous optimisation and learning.
Skills and Competencies:
- Matric or grade 12 equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Data Science) is advantageous.
- 7+ years of experience in customer analytics, marketing analytics, or commercial insight roles.
- Strong hands-on experience analysing digital acquisition funnels and performance marketing campaigns.
- Good understanding of acquisition and performance metrics including CAC, ROAS, conversion rates, LTV, approval rates, and funnel performance.
- Experience working with attribution, experimentation, cohort analysis, and customer segmentation.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency in BI/reporting tools such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Experience with Google Analytics 4 and digital analytics platforms.
- Experience working with CRM platforms and customer lifecycle reporting is advantageous.
- Experience analysing customer or brand performance data is beneficial.
- Experience in fintech, financial services, e-commerce, SaaS, or high-growth digital businesses is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
