About The Product Marketing Team
We seek an experienced Product Marketing leader to drive revenue across the Yoco ecosystem of products with new and existing customers.
Product Marketers at Yoco sit at the meeting point of product, marketing and sales. Part of the Product organisation, the team works cross-functionally to ensure Yoco builds products that matter to our customers and develops and launches growth strategies and campaigns that drive acquisition, retention and monetisation.
Yoco has an ambitious and exciting product roadmap in the years ahead. With the product marketing function at Yoco still in its infancy, this is an opportunity to build on Yoco’s existing market leadership position in in-person payments and furth expand the adoption of our business software and financial products.
About The Role
As Head of Product Marketing you will lead, manage and develop a team of Product Marketing Managers and Associates dedicated to stewarding our product narrative across the business. Your team will be focused on go-to-market strategy, audience definition, positioning, messaging, competitive analysis and channel and sales enablement programs that bring this roadmap to life. You will own the go-to-market execution cross-functionally to drive product growth and adoption. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in GTM development, harnessing data, voice of the customer and stakeholder inputs to sharpen our engagement plans in the market.

About The Role
As Head of Product Marketing you will lead, manage and develop a team of Product Marketing Managers and Associates dedicated to stewarding our product narrative across the business. Your Team Will Be Responsible For
- Marketing a set of products and features (i.e. Card Machines, Online Payments, Business Tools, Point of Sale, Capital) in close partnership with the Product, Sales, Brand, and Performance teams. They will act as the glue that brings these teams together when bringing products to market.
- Developing deep knowledge about the customers, market, competitors, & regulation.
- Building the value proposition, positioning, messaging for these products/features, keeping in mind customer needs & the competitive landscape.
- Adopting a portfolio view of all the products in the company, and ensuring that positioning makes sense relative to each other, in terms of pricing, positioning, and messaging.
- Ensuring that this value proposition is communicated via all the customer touch points (i.e. web, app, email, social media & other relevant marketing channels).
- Partnering with the Performance, Brand & Sales teams as well as external agencies to launch campaigns focused on customer growth.
- Setting and tracking success metrics for launch and campaign performance, and optimising through continuous testing.
- Driving revenue growth by improving customer acquisition, activation, engagement, retention & referrals.
- Evangelising internally about these products, their features, target segments, use-cases, and positioning relative to the competition.
- Enabling Sales & Support Teams with knowledge & material about these products.
- Gathering customer insights from customers & working closely with customer insights team, data analysts and product managers to understand and interpret the needs of customer segments, analyse market trends and feed these back into product teams
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing and/or go-to-market experience in a high-growth environment, with a strong preference for experience in start-ups or scale-ups.
- 5+ years of leadership experience, with a team of >5.
- Strategic thinking and proven ability to drive integrated GTM plans, differentiated messaging and product growth; experience within payments and/or SMB software preferred.
- Clear history of enabling business development and sales teams to succeed and exceed their goals.
- Demonstrated reliance on data with the ability to identify trends and articulate business results achieved by past marketing initiatives.
- Exceptional planning, communications, and interpersonal skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to wear multiple hats, manage several projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Degree in business, marketing, finance, information technology or another related field.
