About The Role

As a Senior IT Support Engineer, you’ll be the go-to problem solver for all things IT at Yoco, ensuring our team stays productive and connected. You’ll take full ownership of support requests, troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, and networks (primarily macOS), and provide clear, step-by-step guidance to end users.

Beyond just fixing problems, you'll help shape and improve IT processes by maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance, and escalating issues effectively. Your role is about more than just tech—it's about keeping our people empowered, informed, and supported with a friendly and solutions-driven approach.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Taking ownership of IT Support related issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution, within agreed SLA’s
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and research solutions to resolve hardware, software and system issues
  • Following standard procedures for escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration on macOS
  • Be confident in guiding end users through a series of steps, either via phone, email or Slack, until the issue is resolved
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to various stakeholders and end users
  • Contribute and refer to internal documentation or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged and in a timely manner
  • Follow up with end users to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
  • Maintain jovial relationships with our Yoco peeps

About You

  • 3-5 years experience
  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with macOS environments
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues of varying difficulty
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (eg. Zendesk or FreshService)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
  • MDM Experience (eg. Addigy or JAMF)
  • Keeping Documentation up to date
  • Compliance experience
